Gabriela Chojnacki
Gabriela Chojnacki is a co-founder of Clown Lab London. She is a theatremaker, clown and theatre coach originally from Montreal, Canada.
In 2013, she took a leap of faith and moved to London to become a mime. Despite the venture not panning out as anticipated, it propelled her into various artistic ventures. Today she holds two masters degrees: Ensemble Theatre (Rose Bruford College) and Actor Training and Coaching (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama).
Gabby discovered her love of clowning while training at ArtHaus Berlin and subsequently developed her craft with industry leading practitioners such as De Castro and Peta Lily.

Co-Founder
John Simpson
John is a clown nerd. He is currently researching the social and psychological benefits of clowning as part of the Clown Spirit international fellowship. A clown in training himself, he has had more than a dozen teachers in the UK and abroad and has explored everything from shamanic rituals to expressive dance and Buddhist chanting as part of an expansive exploration of approaches to clown.
In his spare time John is an award-winning national newspaper journalist and podcast presenter. He also goes to a lot of clown shows, usually sitting in the front row and playing it cool while secretly hoping he’s picked for audience participation roles.
